Framed within splendid floral motifs, these paintings represent a horse and an elephant in forward motion amidst the background of flowering trees and flowers in full blossom. The charm of nature is aptly balanced by the architecture in the background. The geometrical motifs interspersed with gold colours dominate the palace in the first painting. The blue dome with gilded gold invites attention to the detailed craftsmanship of the artist. The stylistic rendition of the horse and the elephant reveal
Central Asian influences.
In the second frieze on the right, a cart occupies the central ground. The decorative motifs are
highlighted by the deep and rich colour palate in gold, blue and maroon. Two men at the back of
the cart are seen in conversation with each other. Interestingly in the background, two men are also seen behind the pointed hills, watching the procession from a distance.
This composition is enveloped by decorative arabesque motifs on all four sides. Verses in calligraphy form a significant element of the painting. The wheels of the cart are gilded in gold and executed in a characteristic manner balancing with the flora and fauna.
