General Description

This smaller vihāra is a part of Dharādipa's cave complex. It consists of a courtyard, pillared porch, porch-end cells, astylar hall with six cells, antechamber and shrine. The cave is 28 feet 2 inches by 25 feet 6 inches. Except for traces of paintings on the ceiling, most of the cave paintings are lost.

Shrine

The Buddha sits in padmāsana with his hands in the Dharmachakrapravartanamudrā, where the thumb and index fingers of both hands form a circle each. The standing Bodhisatvas appear behind the throne and are holding chāmara or fly-whisks. A tree has been depicted behind the Buddha, right behind the vyalas.
