In the right aisle of Cave 16, we see this large panel dedicated to Śākyamūni Buddha. Scenes from his life: from birth to his spiritual journey have been painted.
Story:
The Bodhisattva was born as Prince Siddhārtha in the Śākya royal family. He undergoes training to be a king and lives a blissful life until he is moved to adopt a spiritual way of life.
