This is a circular headgear (pagri) with the cap embroidered in small pearls, green and red glass beads. It was believed to have been used by Tipu Sultan, who succeeded Hyder Ali as the Sultan of Mysore in the 18th century. Tipu Sultan was known for his innovative administrative policies and resistance to the British forces.
