Description:

HRH Prince of Wales (later King Edward VIII) toured India in the 1920s. It was during this visit to India that the Prince officially opened the Victoria Memorial Hall in Calcutta (Kolkata) in the memory of Queen Victoria.  This is a red chest piece used as a uniform by his staff during this tour.
