On the right aisle in Cave 17, there are a group of paintings based on stories of Bodhisattva in which he is born as an animal. In these stories, the animals display compassion and kindness towards humans.
Story:
An ibex rescues a king who fell into a ditch while he was pursuing his prey during a hunt. In return for the ibex's kindness, the king renounces hunting.
